I am a list making person. Perhaps it is a Capricorn thing. Perhaps it is a thing for fourth children or last children or nervous children or just 20-something year olds. Maybe it is just a middle-brain thing. Maybe it is a thing for people who are analyzing all their “things” and trying to define them. See: I just made a list.
Now give me credit for that list because I also needs congratulating and pats on the back and what not. That is most definitely a last child thing.
But I have rid myself of THE list this year. Being post-holiday and not particularly naughty or nice, I don’t mean that list. I mean being privy to the New Year’s Resolution list. I have no need to lose 15 pounds and no real desire to gain it (who would). I could read such n’ such many books this year, but I won’t as long as I’m in school. I could travel to this or that place, but I won’t as long as I have no one to travel with aside from my brother and we never agree on where to go unless there happens to be a race and a concert happening in the same area at the same time. So I have decided on one word and a 2011 theme which encompasses a great many dimensions that cannot be described in bullet points. I welcome 2011 with the goal of self…
HEALING.
